Happy Halloween, Ursinus College! We implore you to step into a realm of mystifying artwork and thrilling music on October 29th in the Berman Museum of Art for the annual Fall Showcase. Let yourself be transported by the Ursinus Wind Ensemble  to a magical world as you walk through the gallery of haunting exhibits that the museum has to offer.

Every October, the Berman Museum of Art hosts an annual Fall Showcase, featuring an array of immersive gallery experiences that all are welcome to come and see… if they dare! While exploring, a soundtrack of ghostly classics and cinematic thrillers will be conducted by the one-and-only ghost host, Harry Oehler. This magical musical masterpiece conjures up an electrifying atmosphere you won’t want to miss.

According to Genevieve Dennes, a freshman playing the flute and piccolo in the wind ensemble, “I’m most excited for the Nightmare Before Christmas piece. I really like that song and the movie!” She goes on to say that “it really gives the spirit of Halloween.” This is just a taste of what’s awaiting us in the enchanted forest of artworks lining the galleries of the Berman Museum of Art.

Great news for all of you ghouls and ghosts: Costumes are encouraged. Feel free to let your freak flag fly by dressing up for this spooky occasion. All are welcome as the event is open to the public—witches, warlocks, vampires, zombies, and yes, even your phantoms can join in on the fun. Upon looking into my crystal ball, psychic forces from the great beyond—on the official Student Engagement page—have informed me that light refreshments will be available. Outside, you’ll find the annual Halloween Parade down Main Street where festivities kick off on the lawn at 6:30pm. The event at the Berman Museum is set to start at 7:45pm, so feel free to stop by after a quick bite for a frightful night of mystery and majesty in one of the most spook-tacular places on campus.
