Late night breakfast, vision board making, and trivia with exciting prizes… all without leaving campus?

This influx of Student Engagement events is happening because the Office of Student Engagement hired two new Assistant Directors: Leannie Jusino, Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Commuter Central, and Sierra Lockhart, Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Greek Life. They are both overseen by Marion McKinney, the Director of Student Engagement.

Students can look forward to bingos and Kahoot weekly during the fall semester. Student Engagement is excited to bring back UC After Dark, which are weekend events that occur after 7pm, with on campus activities like Casino Night and off-campus trips as well.

Off–campus trips include the Eastern State Penitentiary, Bates Motel in October, a Rockettes show in November, the Philadelphia Christmas Village, and the Philadelphia Zoo in December. To sign up for these trips, visit the Student Engagement Suite in Wismer and pay via Venmo.

For students who prefer to stay on campus, there are events for every interest. Throughout the semester, Student Engagement is collaborating with other organizations on campus, such as the Berman Museum, the IIE, and the office of Health and Wellness. In October, some events include Self-Care Sunday with IIE, Latin Night, a Late-Night Breakfast collaboration with SGA, themed bingos with prizes, and more.

More events than the listed ones are being planned, make sure to check the calendar on Ursinus’s website for the latest updates as well as the Ursinus Engagement Instagram, @UrsinusLife.

The Office of Student Engagement is always looking for feedback and ideas from students. As Jusino states, “If we are given enough time to plan and execute an event that students can enjoy, we will try our best to accommodate.” Jusino encourages any students with an event idea to stop by and talk to or email any of the Office’s staff members.

Below, find a calendar of upcoming events in October. Events are subject to change, updated information will be sent out by email or found on the website under “News and Events.”
