Social Media Editor
Design/Layout Editor

News, Features, Opinions, and Sports are sections where editors plan topics, coordinate with writers, and complete layouts for physical newspapers in Adobe InDesign on Mondays at 4:30pm. The Photo Editor communicates with photographers to make photo assignments, collects and uploads photos, and helps with photo and file formatting. The Website Editor maintains the website and uploads new articles and photographs. The Social Media Editor posts content primarily to Instagram. The Design Editor maintains the print design (formatted in Adobe InDesign) as well as helps section editors with technical difficulties during layout meetings.

All positions are required to attend the 4:30pm Monday meetings. If selected, one MCS credit is available which also counts towards the Creative Writing major/minor.

To apply, please submit a short cover letter explaining your interest in the position, one page resume, and a writing sample to this email with the subject line [ROLE] EDITOR APPLICATION. Applications due APRIL 15TH.

New writers and photographers are always welcome and do not need to apply. One MCS credit is also available for writers who write 5 well-written articles or for photographers who coordinate with the Photo Editor and complete photo assignments.
